Antrong Concession

The Antrong Concession is located 230km north-west of Phnom Penh in the province of Mondulkiri. The Concession called Antrong covers an area of 58.5km2 and is approximately 9km north east of the Okvau project of OZ Minerals Limited in the mineral rich area known as the Antrong Mineral Field or Antrong Project.

The Concession falls within the Antrong granodiorite and the wide hornfels halo that surrounds it with prominent north-north-west and north-south shear structures emanating from this instrusive. This geology is very similar in style to that hosting the Okvau project (see Figure 2).

Figure 2. Geological Setting of Antrong and Ropoah concessions

Although this region is relatively underexplored, many high grade gold bearing lodes have been identified by other companies including the discovery by OZ Minerals Limited along or around this wide hornfels halo. The geological work including drilling already carried out in the direct vicinity of the large Antrong granodiorite has demonstrated the potential for the area to contain multimillion ounce gold deposits.

Brighton has already completed metallurgical testing from three bulk samples taken from trenches and historical pits within the Antrong Concession and the test results showed a combined gravity/leach gold recovery of 92.8% at 75 micron leach grind. These tests also showed that the ore would be amenable to conventional carbon-in-pulp (CIP) processing achieving reasonably high extractions. The gold demonstrated some slow leaching characteristics requiring further investigation during the next metallurgical test work program.

The exploration budget for the first two years under this Prospectus totals approximately $1,290,000 (of which Brighton has allocated up to $750,000 for exploration on the Antrong Concession). This budget will allow the Company to carry out soil, trench and rock chip sampling combined with limited ground geophysics and relatively shallow drilling in order to confirm the stratigraphy on the Concession, to confirm mineralised targets, and to confirm the prospectivity and styles of mineralisation on the Concession.

Subject to exploration success following this proposed two year exploration programme, the Company will require additional capital in order to conduct further geochemical testing and to progress the Concession into the feasibility and resource definition stages in future years.
